The Trial

Outside of the comfort zone. I could set up a standard production and put everything on an assembly line. But contemporary tailoring requires raising the bar with every piece.

I don't mass-produce: I study, make mistakes, undo and re-sew until the garment is perfect.

Ellle Studio fabrics come from careful research among the stockists in the Prato textile district. I work almost exclusively with high-quality deadstock. Often I find rolls of only 5 or 6 meters. Once the fabric is gone, the garment will never be back in stock.

Mine is a real, physical scarcity, not a marketing strategy.

True luxury is the dialogue with the tailor: I do everything from scratch and customize the structure as much as the machine allows me.
